Samantha Baker

Head of Nursery

Samantha Holds a:

Cache Diploma, Level 3 in Children’s and Young Peoples' Work Force.
OFSTED Registered Childminder, I am graded as Outstanding in all areas.
Paediatric First Aid

I have extensive childcare experience, including having 2 children of my own.

Before I had children, I worked as a singer/song writer and makeup artist. I studied theatre and creative arts at the Guild Hall London. I have many skills as a musician and performer, which I incorporate into my practice.

Lawrence Baker

Director

Lawrence holds a:

BA (Hons) in Education Studies and Early Years from The University of Hertfordshire.
Foundation Degree in Early Years
Cache Diploma, Level 3 in Children’s and Young Peoples' Workforce.
Paediatric First Aid Trained.

Lawrence’s main responsibilities include the implementation of the EYFS (2025), Staff Training, Accounts and Child Development.

He also is a very talented performer playing guitar and piano.

Samantha Pleasant

Group Operations Manager

& Group SENCO

Level 6, holding a BA(Hons) in Special Educational Needs.

Paediatric First Aid

Samantha's main responsibilities include, managing the team at all Apple Daycare settings, upskilling daily inclusive practice, and ensuring we have the right number of staff at the right place at the right time.

She is married to John and they have a daughter Rosemary Belle.

Emily did her Apprenticeship with Apple in 2017 & has now returned and handles office responsibilities including invoicing, quoting, and updating care plan scheduling.

She has two daughters Tilly & Edie.

Madison

Shannon

Training & Development Manager

BA (Hons) in History from The University of Bristol.

Madison worked as an Angel for Apple in 2019 & has now returned to handle the registration responsibilities and parental communications, supporting families from enquiry through to settling in, and building positive relationships along the way.

Madison also works alongside our Directors on our marketing and project management.

Level 5 Early Years Educator

Shannon works across all Apple Daycare settings to ensure that our practice and ethos are sustained at an outstanding level across all sites.

Shannon leads our Apprenticeship Development programme, hosting small group sessions to boost their training and support their education.

Shannon Joined Apple Daycare in the Summer of 2019.

Scarlett

Junior Office Administrator

Scarlett is currently an Apprentice at Apple, working to complete her Level 3 in Business Admin.

Scarlett supports all aspects of the Apple Daycare office, working hard to upskill herself while studying for her qualification.

Scarlett is training under Emily to understand reconciling, invoicing, and many other aspects of office management.
