Apple Daycare at Lemsford Hall is set on the recreation ground in the quiet village of Lemsford just before Brocket Hall on the road between Welwyn Garden City and St Albans. As well as the recreation ground and play area, we have access to many woodland walks and daily rambles over the Brocket Hall estate.
Lemsford Hall is Apple Daycare's fourth setting and provides care for the birth to 2.5 years age group. This setting surrounded by open fields with a small courtyard private garden. There is ample parking so very easy to drop and collect.
Lemsford Hall is managed by Alison and she is a fully qualified early years educator and she is ably assisted by Katie who is L3 with SEN, Matakon and sign experience and Chiana is our apprentice, studying for L2. Our house chef is Darcy who prepares a variety of fresh home cooked meals each day and many baking activities with the children.
Our main focus at Lemsofrd Hall is to promote the early years foundation stage. We use our tracking and planning software to create a bespoke learning experience for your child.
The day is planned and focuses on child led play, punctuated with adult led activities such as story frog, painting and craft. Each day we conduct forest school walks along the many footpaths surrounding our site. We encourage the children to walk as much as they can and for those unsteady on their feet there is always a pushchair or buggy to help with a ride.
Each day we report your child's activities through our digital online learning journal where you will see what they did and when and it will be accompanied by a few photographs and a vignette which describes a significant moment as well as our general preschool activities we work with Best Theatre Company for drama skills, Little Club for street dance and sensory music sessions, impact sports and Super Star Sports offer a wide variety of sporting activities. We also celebrate many different cultural events throughout the year.
All food is freshly prepared from scratch and is age appropriate.
